About Us
Covenant Hoops is a faith-driven basketball club rooted in the Biblical motto, “Do everything in love” (1 Corinthians 16:14). We seek to glorify God by making basketball accessible to all youth, especially those from Indigenous and refugee communities. Through the game, we not only develop skills, but disciple young people to lead with Christ-like love, serve others humbly, and live out their faith in both word and action — on and off the court.
Our Story
Covenant Hoops was born from a simple idea: using the game of basketball to create real change. As a 16-year-old student, I’ve always loved basketball, but I also recognized how many young people, especially in Indigenous and refugee communities, face barriers that prevent them from playing. I wanted to do something about it.
With that goal, I founded Covenant Hoops, a club built on the belief that basketball can be more than just a sport. It can be a way to serve others, build confidence, and bring people together. Our motto, “Do everything in love,” reflects our mission to use every practice, game, and interaction as a chance to share kindness and support those in need.
Through Covenant Hoops, I hope to not only help players develop their skills on the court but also inspire them to give back and make a difference in their own communities.
